Austenitic Stainless Steel
SINOXX 4311 is a nitrogen-alloyed austenitic stainless steel. Due to the nitrogen addition, it is less susceptible to martensitic transformation. It contains a small amount of ferrite. The steel is less machinable than some martensitic steels (13% Cr) due to its cold work hardening. These grades are non-magnetic and usually contribute to weight savings in most structural or high-pressure applications. Typical applications include liquid gas production and storage, pressure vessels, parts with high strength and excellent ductility, and tanks and containers in the petrochemical industry.
